Services
Rug Cleaning
Our in-plant cleaning system thoroughly washes, rinses, and disinfects rugs using CDC-approved products. Handled by trained technicians, this process removes deep-seated dirt while preserving fibers. Most handmade Oriental rugs cleaned at $4.00 per square foot with free pickup/delivery for orders over $75.
Rug Repair
Expert craftsmen reweave damaged sections with matching wool yarn for moth holes, frayed edges, and worn fringe. Services include selvedge rebuilding, overcasting, and color restoration. Repairs start at $102 with estimates provided before work begins.
Pet Stain Treatment
Specialized enzymatic treatments target pet stains and odors at their source. Our non-toxic solutions safely eliminate bacteria while preserving rug dyes. Technicians address both visible stains and lingering smells during the cleaning process.
Disinfecting
Post-cleaning disinfection uses EPA-registered products to kill bacteria and viruses. This service includes coronavirus protection while maintaining rug integrity. The process adds no extra charge to standard cleaning fees.
Scotchgard Protection
Optional Scotchgard application creates a protective barrier against future stains. Applied during finishing, this treatment helps maintain rug appearance longer without altering texture or color vibrancy.

Free pick up and delivery - and timely. They just cleaned and demothed 7 Oriental rugs and cleaned 3 others. While I haven't had the time to look at them all, the ones I have looked at are wonderfully cleaned and in good condition. They did a great job!

Zakian made it so easy! They picked up an( old family heirloom) rug at one location. Provided an appraisal and recommendations on how to proceed with cleaning. The rug was cleaned and brought to my home (second location). They delivery men were great. They helped me place the rug where I wanted it. The rug looked brand new! Clean and beautiful! Everyone I spoke to was great. Fair pricing. We I'll now enjoy this beautiful rug for years to come. Thank you.

Report
I had a very bad experience with Zakian and instead of trying to resolve the matter, they ignored me and I had to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I found a much better and more experienced company who also has better customer service, Material Culture, they also sell rugs so they are a more experienced resource and the price was much better than Zakian. Zakian is a rip off and the owner is rude. If I could them no star. I would!
