Duct leakage testing, also known as pressure testing, is a procedure designed to discover whether an HVAC system's ducts were field constructed as specified. Improperly sealed ducts can elevate noise levels and, most importantly, greatly decrease efficiency and waste energy. Excessive leakage leads to increased horsepower and decreased efficiency. Research Air Flo has the equipment necessary to pressure test HVAC ductwork to confirm compliance with SMACNA standards. Feel free to contact Research Air Flo to discuss Duct Leakage Testing on your project today!
Another area of expertise for Research Air Flo is hydronic testing and balancing. Many HVAC and manufacturing systems utilize water as a medium for heat transfer. Systems are balanced for terminal flow using differential pressures. The process of hydronic balancing ensures that proper water flow reaches all of the desired equipment in a system. Balancing hydronic systems reduces energy consumption, saves money, and enhances system performance. Regardless of size, we can make it happen! Our projects range in application from simple fan coil units to complex manufacturing, process water, and data center systems.
Stairwell pressurization is a critical component of any facility's fire control and life safety system, keeping exit routes smoke-free in the event of a fire. Trouble arises when a stairwell loses pressure as its doors open and close. Stairwell pressurization testing ensures that a building's occupants can exit safely during a fire emergency. Correct pressures, air change rates, and door pull forces are key ingredients in a safe structure. You and your collective staff have been my "EASY Button" for T&B services for the last (17) years.
