Did you know that the Big Thompson River hasn't been stocked with trout to a large degree since the mid-1990s?! A majority of the trout in the river were born in the wild and can naturally reproduce. The trout species in the river include brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout that range in size from 10-12 inches!
