Safety Systems, Inc. is a family-owned business with headquarters in Jackson and branch offices in Adrian, Lansing, Livonia, and Toledo, OH. The company was founded in 1967 by Dale Decker, who began a business of installing security systems while concurrently working for a national bakery. The company now employs more than 50 people and offers design and installation of commercial security systems, fire alarm systems, residential security systems, fire extinguishers and extinguishing systems, closed circuit television surveillance systems and card access control systems.

Honeywell Security Systems - provides residential, commercial and industrial integrated security systems. Notifier Fire Systems - provides a full range of fire alarm systems from small 4 zone panels to large analog fire alarm systems utilizing fire optic networking. Amerex Corporation - manufacturers of quality portable fire extinguishers for a wide variety of applications. Pyro-Chem Corporation - manufacturer of quality fire suppression systems for restaurant and industrial applications. Fike Corporation - manufacturer of quality clean agent fire suppression systems for commercial applications.

Mike Anderson - Mike's experience in security and fire alarm systems dates back to 1987, when he joined Safety Systems after working in the telephone business. Mike has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Economics from Wittenberg University. He has earned NICET Level II certification in fire alarm systems, and specializes in working with electrical contractors and end users providing security, nurse call, access control, closed circuit television and fire alarm systems. Mike's community involvement totals a combined 65 years of service with the Lions Club, Jackson Hot Air Jubilee, Midland Balloon Festival, and the Concord Community Schools Board of Education.

Jodi Decker began her career at Safety Systems over 37 years ago with responsibility for scheduling testing and inspection accounts. She is now Chair of the Board of Directors, and Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation. She is responsible for overall corporate direction, long range planning, and handles the financial disbursements. Dan Decker has 42 years of experience in the fire alarm industry. In 1986 Dan became our first technician certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), a certification organization sponsored by the National Society of Professional Engineers.
