Greatsoil supplies San Diego County growers with premium horticultural soil mixes and products, including mulches, composts, and soil amendments. Container Mix offers excellent aeration and drainage by the addition of pumice, which improves drainage and, due to the microscopic holes in the pumice, helps retain necessary minimal moisture levels. It is a lightweight soil mix promoting root growth. It has particular success with plants that are moisture sensitive and reduces the chance of root rot due to the roots sitting in poorly drained mixes. Our Screened Fill Dirt is a mix of clay (85%) and sand. It is run through a screening process to remove large debris such as sticks, rocks, large clods, etc. Useful in sodding repairs.
