Landscape Architecture: An outdoor space can be a series of rooms defined by plant material or structure and can be as comfortable, if not more than, inside your home. Permaculture & Garden Design: A landscape should work as a complete system providing a natural habitat for native species, edible plants for people and animals, entertainment for families, and much more. Water Wise (Xeriscaping) Design: Our passion for the environment goes beyond growing food to conserving water through the use of the right plant in the right place.
Our mission of every design is to create holistic space where every piece of the landscape is maximally used to benefit the system as a whole. This is done in many ways but primarily through developing beneficial relationships in the ecosystem, minimizing waste & energy, replicating natural systems, valuing diversity and teaching people gardening efficiency. Our mission as a business is to create and educate. An ideal landscapenurturesitself and fitsseamlesslyinto the natural environment. Through the creativity of human influence, design elements come together to become greater than the sum of its parts.
UpBeet Landscapes has become what it is today because of this man. With great sadness we announce his passing and with hope we create a scholarship fund in his name.
Exciting news! Back in spring, Artscapes Landscape & Design bought UpBeet Landscapes. Don’t worry, we’re still here to provide you with beautiful, edible and sustainable landscape designs... now we’re just partnered with an excellent team that’ll make the design come to life!
Here are some great examples of Colorado pollinator friendly plants! The top row blooms in the early season, middle row blooms mid season, and bottom row blooms late season. Bring on the honeybees, butterflies, hummingbirds and more!
Head to our Instagram to see some inspiring plants and landscapes we’ve visited around the world! Native landscapes sure look different, depending on where you are.
This design was for Salvation Army's Lambuth Family Center, here in Denver. There is a meandering path through a sensory garden, a future sports court, and raised beds for the families to learn about growing food. This project is still in the fundraising phase, but we're excited!
