Cofer's Home & Garden Showplace, with almost 100 years of serving the community, is Georgia's oldest family-owned garden center. In 1961, after many years of dedicated service to the store, founder Hal Cofer, Sr. passed away. His three sons, Hal L. Cofer Jr., Richard M. Cofer and Donald F. Cofer then took over the store's operations, and implemented many changes. While originally a farm supply store, Cofer's began carrying a much wider selection of goods including shrubbery, lawn fertilizer, power equipment, hardware, housewares and even pets!

Beautiful & healthy plants. Large selection at a affordable prices. I always come here for plants & bulbs. Especially those that I can not find elsewhere. 5 years ago I bought an awesome hummingbird feeder. Still in fantastic shape. Employees are so professional & friendly.

Great team who always provide super service. Technical expertise stands out. Wide mix of products has always met everything I looked for.

I always love coming to Cofer's. I am a houseplant collector and Cofer's always has a good stock of healthy, sizable plants. I haven't had any die of any issues from the retailer or any issues with rot, so I have been happy with the value of the plants. You find a lot of run of the mill house plants and some unusual and uncommon plants here as well, like some beautiful Monstera deliciosa which are hard to find in this area. I'd love to see them keep stocking unsual or uncommon plants, because you don't find those often or in good health from any local big box stores. The employees have always been kind and helpful as well. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you're into houseplants!

Thank You Dean! Amazing service! You are so knowledgeable about plants and landscaping! You are the best in this area! Many thanks!

I will be a regular customer enjoyed my first visit and will be back will be my favorite go to gardening place for many things

We shopped today around 1:00pm looking to replace a 30 ft row of shrubs in the front of our house. I didn't catch the name of the young man who helped us, but he was wearing a ball cap. Anyway, we described our needs to him and he loaded up our selection of gardenias. Once we loaded them, he double checked that tags on the bushes for us and pointed out that the ones we picked might actually grow taller than we wished. He looked at the label on the stand next to them and compared it to the label on the actual bush and showed us the discrepancy. We agreed that we should pick a different one that met our needs. He unloaded the original ones and loaded the new ones without flinching. It meant so much to us that he LISTENED, responded to our needs and saved us from a possible headache in the future. BRAVO!
