It all started in 1990, when a hard working family man was looking to provide the best he could for his growing family. Keith Caruthers had a full time job at Carolina Power and Light when he began a small side business collecting spare tires and other pile-ups from local businesses. This eventually turned into yard waste pickup, and everything else in between. By 1993, the Caruthers family was utilizing their 3-acre plot of land and turning scraps into organic mulch. As demand heightened, Keith began making deliveries at night, while working for CP&L during the day.
