Daniel and I both went to art school thinking we would be painters, which I think is pretty much what everybody thinks when they go to art school. We both ended up as trained potters, drawn into ceramics by the collaborative nature of clay, and honestly, the best pot lucks of all the different art departments. We both spent many years teaching, giving workshops, and selling our own hand made pottery, supported in part by a few amazing non-profit art centers like The Clay Studio in Philadelphia. We met in 2010, and from the beginning the goal was to spend every day together in the studio.
Wednesday, warm weather, waking up, wishing, working, worry, wonder, world. The letter of the day is W.
Sometimes you have to stop looking in order to find what you need. In this case, Daniel had finally given up on ever finding that perfect little sponge that worked so well for the edges of our saucers. And then finally it was revealed. This saucer bit the dust...but he found his sponge! Silly we know, but funny too!
Starting a fresh year feels good.
Our January One-of-a-Kind Collection is now live on our site. Follow the link in our bio to see these unique pots. Xo
