Horton Tree Service was started by Homer H. Horton in 1967 with one truck and a chainsaw. Today the company has a fleet of 150+ vehicles and more than 200 employees. The family business is currently under the leadership of Homer's sons: Johnny, Danny, Ricky and Tommy. We currently have three generations of Hortons employed, and we are working on training the youngest of us to continue the tradition of quality work and unmatched customer service. All of our company officers are specialists in their assigned roles and run crews that perform nothing but the best work for our customers, and they can't wait to help you with your tree project.
The northern division of Horton Tree Service will be changing locations. Our new shop will be on highway 114 about 4.5 miles west of Boyd TX. We are very excited about this and should be moved in by the end of the week!
We have been working like crazy over the past two weeks due to storms. Today was different. We started out doing 3 small jobs with 3 crews. Later in the morning we received a phone call from a group of volunteers working on a huge and very dangerous tree that had fallen on the house and power lines. We brought all three crews together with 4 bucket trucks, 2 trailers and about 20 men. With help from the volunteers and the hard work of our crews we were able to get the trees off the house and...
