Your Local Source for Premium Plants & Gardening Supplies
Nachtigall's Greenhouse has been cultivating quality horticultural products in western South Dakota since 1964. Founded by Frank and Evelyn Nachtigall as a supplemental income source, the business transitioned to their son Sidney at age 9, who has led operations since the 1970s with support from his wife Jenifer, son Matthew, and dedicated staff. Our family-owned enterprise specializes in flowering bedding plants, vegetable plants, perennials, and roses tailored to regional growing conditions. We maintain our original location at 2011 South Valley Drive, offering expert gardening advice, premium Alaskan Fish Fertilizer, and customized planting solutions. Our seasonal hours accommodate both casual gardeners and commercial clients seeking reliable plant materials.Through three generations of horticultural expertise, we remain committed to providing locally adapted plant varieties and personalized service. Our extensive inventory includes over 50 tomato varieties, diverse pepper options, and specialty plants for containers. We also offer Pro Mix potting soil, peat moss, and seeds used in our own greenhouse operations. Customer education remains central to our mission, with staff available to address planting challenges and shade-tolerant species selection. This enduring commitment to quality and community makes Nachtigall's Greenhouse the region's trusted gardening resource.
