Chuck Walker, local owner of Howard's Upholstery & Design in Concord, California, grew up in an upholstery shop in the Sacramento area. He worked with his father and uncles from a young age. After he moved to Concord, he was asked by Howard's widow to take over the business in 1979. Chuck takes pride in his work and has a very high standard of workmanship and quality. Howard's Upholstery & Design is a family owned business that opened in 1964. Chuck Walker grew up in an upholstery shop in the Sacramento area, where he worked with his father and uncles. When he moved to Concord, he took over Howard's Upholstery from Lorraine Mather (Howard's widow) in 1979, thus became known as "Howard". Chuck has continued the tradition of providing superior craftsmanship and the best quality upholstery in the industry. This tradition and core value has made Howard's Upholstery and Design legendary in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond for the last forty-eight years.
