Hudson Fisk grew up an avid outdoorsman on the family farm in south central Pennsylvania. When he wasn't busy raising Morgan horses for Fisk Family Farms, you might have found him in the woods running up to three trap lines in the fall and winter months. He also started selectively logging hardwoods using one of the Morgan horses to skid the logs. When not logging he would cut firewood to sell and to heat his family's home which had seven fireplaces and a wood burning furnace. Hudson, with the help of his father, Dan Fisk, cut and removed his first hazard tree at the age of 15.
