David established TreeServe (formerly Sydney Metro Tree Services) in 1996 along with brothers Nick and Les and father Len. His passion for the business has grown TreeServe to a successful company with over 120 employees, leading the vegetation management field in innovation, technology and customer satisfaction. David holds AQF Level 5 in Arboriculture. Nick has worked with TreeServe since it was established in 1996. He is a qualified and experienced arborist and machine operator and responsible for scheduling day to day operations of the business, including all crews and equipment.

TreeServe specialises in local government tree management, and is currently a leading provider of these services within the Sydney Metro and Hunter Region. We are a progressive and innovative company with a service orientated focus. TreeServe is the recently re-branded company formally operating as Sydney Metro Tree Services. Sydney Metro began operations in Smithfield, New South Wales by the Harris family in 1996. In the mid 1990s the Harris family who were picking up tree logs from local Sydney based tree contractors to split and sell for firewood decided to move into the Tree business and purchased their first 9 chipper and a 25hp Dosco stump grinder.

This consists of the removal of unwanted, dying, or dead trees. Once removed, we clean the area and chip all green waste which is then transferred to our green waste recycling facility to be turned into mulch. This includes trimming and shaping the Tree for both aesthetic purposes and to ensure that the tree is structurally sound and can withstand storms and strong winds. We also crown lift trees providing vertical clearance for roadways and parks. This includes removing dead sections from trees expertly, ensures that the healthy areas survive and it can protect your property from the damage of falling debris.
