Concerned residents in 14 states came to Earthworks for help when state regulators would not take action against oil and gas companies polluting their air with methane and volatile organic compounds. Our complaints using cutting-edge optical gas imaging to make air pollution visible resulted in a series of investigations, enforcement actions, and fines against operators and facilities in Oklahoma and Texas.

Earthworks is hiring. We're looking for the right folks to help us in our mission to protect communities and the environment from the destructive impacts of mineral development, in the U.S. and worldwide.

Earthworks is committed to challenging and dismantling systemic oppression. Earthworks Board and staff understand that promoting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) both within and beyond Earthworks is critical to carrying out our mission to protect communities and the environment from the adverse impacts of resource extraction. We recognize that environmental burdens and benefits are not distributed equitably and we are committed to recognizing and addressing these disproportionate historic and current disparities.

Earthworks is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting communities and the environment from the adverse impacts of mineral and energy development while promoting sustainable solutions.
