Witch Hazel hybrid 'Diane' in bloom at Valley Gardens. These Witch Hazels are grown for their late winter bloom. They are deciduous shrub that can show some fall color and can grow 8-12ft tall. The native witch hazel also available booms in late fall.

Spring us coming, but you might need your 'wellies' to work in the garden. These 'rabbits foot pussy willows' are just about to explode. We like them as much for the red buds as the giant catkins that will swell to over an inch long. Bees and insects apprieciate willows for an early pollen source.
