With times struggling in the 50's Jim Sr. was eager to find work. With his only tractor Jim Sr. took a job to develop a large project just outside of Denver thinking he had finally brought his business dreams to reality. After nearly 6 months of all day work the large job was complete but the client had no money to pay Jim Sr. for his hard work. He did however have a yard full of heavy equipment, and with no other option gave Jim's Excavating it's first fleet of equipment.
