Hobbs Painting, Inc. is a family owned and operated professional painting contractor in Salem, Oregon. We are well-known for interior and exterior painting of residential, commercial, and new construction. We recognize that like people, each and every property is unique and reflects the owner's personal style. We appreciate the process of transforming a room, creating impact and bringing curb appeal to an exterior; always taking special care to ensure the home owner's visions come to life. Paint is a crucial element in the overall presentation businesses offer to the public.

A: Interior painting is best to be completed in our region from Mid Oct. to Mid April. Exterior painting in Oregon is a bit more of a challenge because we are so limited to so few days of non rain. Most of the time we try to start exterior painting in April and continue though Oct. A: The painting contractor should prepare and repaint the entire window unit. The painting contractor must remove all loose paint with a wire brush or scraper, this includes the ends and underside of the sill, as peeling or cracking often begins there.

We've all had the experience of driving or walking up to a building that presented a less than professional first impression. It isn't difficult to recall a particular business and the feelings that sloppy or peeling paint evoked. A good commercial painter understands the value of a well painted commercial property. It is not only about his reputation as a painter, but the image and reputation of the business. Both are intrinsically connected. Hobbs Painting has a great reputation as a quality, reliable commercial painter.

This is the most expensive mistake of all (painters included) according to paint related insurance claims. Making sure the floor and your belongings are protected is the wisest element of preparing for any paint job. The best way to protect a room is to cover your furnishings with a layer of plastic making sure you tape any overlapping seams together: you'd be surprised at what angle and speed paint drops fly through the room to land on your new couch or carpet. These ‘accidents' stem from tapping the inside of a paint can with your brush as you take it out of the can with a load of paint on it, rolling the ceiling and walls, just plain sloppiness with an overloaded brush or having a paint can tip over while on a ladder.
