Lockwood Water & Sewer Services
Established in 1955, Lockwood Water & Sewer District has served the Lockwood, Montana community for nearly seven decades. Our history began with the formation of the Lockwood Water Users Association, which drilled wells and installed the first mainline piping. In 1987, we constructed a surface water treatment plant utilizing the Yellowstone River, capable of processing 3 million gallons daily through coagulation, settling, filtration, and disinfection. Our distribution system spans 45 miles of mainlines, serving over 6,000 residents through 2.25 million gallons of storage capacity across four reservoirs. We introduced a 24/7 self-service bulk water station at 1644 Old Hardin Road in 2001, the same year we formally acquired the Lockwood Water Users Association's assets.

Our mission remains focused on delivering cost-effective, high-quality water and sewer services that prioritize public health, safety, and quality of life. We maintain transparency through annual water quality reports and actively seek customer feedback to improve operations. Our team operates within strict regulatory frameworks, adhering to rules and regulations established by our board of directors. With office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, we provide both routine and emergency services through dedicated phone lines. Our commitment to community development extends to employee welfare, resource efficiency, and maintaining infrastructure that meets or exceeds industry standards.
