We interviewed several contractors before selecting Criner Remodeling for our project. The design phase using the 3D software was awesome and allowed us to visualize all options, adding some to the project, tweaking others, and eliminating the ones that didn't provide the final look we desired. The process was fun, and the specifications that were developed from these sessions ensured us that our project would be just as we visualized it. As a result of the design process, our project ran smoothly and the final results exceeded our expectations.
Customer needs very greatly. Paying a $1000 design fee (up front) for an 8' x 16' kitchen is unreasonable, especially when the client already planned the space. Another tip, never assume what a potential customer can or cannot afford to pay. Finally, since you are a remodeling company on the peninsula and you are particular who your customers may be, it would be a good idea to research the neighborhood the client lives in before putting a bad taste in someone's mouth affording your company a bad review.
