FMC was founded in 1986 by Truxton Terkla and Patrick Krier. Prior to FMC, Truxton worked in the hospitality industry for Westin Hotels, while Patrick was employed by Lanier in the computer sales division. Although coming from unrelated industries, each arrived with a shared mindset of exemplary customer service. Starting as a small janitorial service with only two employees, FMC soon grew to 75 employees by 1994. Additionally, they were proud to be honored in 1993 as one of Inc. Magazine's Top 500 Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies.
