I have a confession to make. I've spent every minute of the last sixty years with this firm, but I am as awed as anyone by what we've accomplished. When it comes to measuring the land, reshaping it, getting across it, or building on it, Dewberry has done it well. Not superstitious, on Friday, April 13, 1956, a tiny firm with the long name of Greenhorne, O'Mara, Dewberry & Nealon opened its doors in Arlington, VA. At the helm were the 28-year-old Sid Dewberry, an engineer and surveyor, and 30-year-old Jim Nealon, a surveyor.
