We have the biggest and most modern cleaning plant in the Midwest. Our main machine is housed in a building that was specifically built around it because of the machine's size, which is 19 feet wide, 70 feet long, and three stories tall. Until the development of the automated rug cleaning equipment, in 1949, rug cleaning was a slow tedious job. When Boushelle introduced professional rug cleaning to the Chicago metropolitan market in 1946 their volume sky rocketed. Soon there was a demand from the public for wall-to-wall carpet cleaning in the home.
