Does your vacuum's suction power diminish while you're using it? There are a couple of possible causes. First, check the bag to see if it's full or empty and replace it if necessary. Then, check the hose to see if it's obstructed.
For all practical purposes, a vacuum cleaner bag is nothing more than a filter, porous enough to let air escape but not the dirt it collects.
