North Atlantic was founded in 1980 through the Humphrey family's acquisition of Horner Millwork, rooted in Somerset, MA, as an interior door prehanging shop. Over four decades, we've evolved into a national millwork, commercial openings, and appliance distributor serving residential and commercial markets across the U.S. Our growth has been fueled by a culture centered on five principles: entrepreneurial spirit, pursuit of excellence, relationship-driven practices, diversification, and forward-thinking innovation. We serve lumberyards, specialty millwork dealers, architects, builders, remodelers, and homeowners through regional operations in the Northeast, South, and West. Our proprietary brands and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Somerset, MA, enable us to deliver customized, high-volume products directly to jobsites or warehouses. We maintain a multi-regional footprint by operating as both manufacturer and distributor across retail, trade, wholesale, and contract segments.
