Custom Design Kitchens

Each design is created to meet the client's vision, needs, and budget whether that means Zarrillo's handcrafted custom cabinets, made in our own cabinet shop by local cabinetmakers, or one of our other lines of American-made cabinets.

Custom Design Kitchens, the vision of Terry Zarrillo, began while he was making furniture in his neighbor's basement for family and friends. In 1978, Terry and soon-to-be wife Dawn opened their first kitchen showroom in Schenectady while renting a space in his friend's cabinet shop. Five years later, the company's growth resulted in a move to a bigger location in downtown Schenectady. At that time, Terry's brother Pete joined the team and has supervised the workshop ever since. Custom Design Kitchens has built its stellar reputation and repeat clientele upon years of adhering to the company's core values: providing clients with quality cabinets built to last, using premium materials, and incorporating unique designs tailored specifically to each client's needs.
