Automation, technology and lean manufacturing have been our strategy in an industry often slow to employ these principles. From information management to production and installation we have developed and implemented the most progressive technologies in the field to ensure superiority at every step of the process. Europe has forged the path in the development of machinery and methods for the production of high quality architectural woodwork. Recognizing this we have recruited European trained personnel to implement our manufacturing and technology advances and forged global partnerships with both European industry and academia to put their expertise to work at EMI.

We are the first architectural woodwork factory in the United States to install a Bargstedt automatic storage and retrieval system. We robotically store and collate the materials for all our automated manufacturing operation. Through our global reach we are able to obtain the highest quality woods directly from the manufacturing source. We also employ fully automated laminating equipment that delivers high quality while minimizing production labor costs. We hot press all material with a PVA ridged bond that is stronger that the wood fiber it connects to.
