Gypsum Systems, LLC. is one of the largest merit shop construction companies in Western NY. We specialize in commercial wall work, ceiling work, and plastering subcontracting. With a team of 19 individuals in the office and more than 200 in the field - including experienced carpenters, plasterers, and drywall finishers.
We are proudly part of the local effort to educate entry-level employees with our NYS DOL approved Certified Apprenticeship Carpentry Program and have more than a dozen GypSys sponsored students graduated from the program since initiation in 2003. GypSys was incorporated in 1975 as a merit shop construction company with our primary focus on light commercial drywall. During the early 1980s, as merit shop construction gained traction in Western New York, we grew to a field workforce of 70 and an office staff of four, and moved to West Seneca, New York.

**Get to know Gypsum Systems: Employee Spotlight**
Bent's Opera House in Medina is undergoing a complete restoration. Gypsum Systems worked on the exterior doors, columns and trims outside. Inside, we replaced wooden floor joists in the mid-19th century building, including framing, insultation, drywall and all of the finish carpentry.
We’re excited to be a part of the restoration of the Albright-Knox! Over the next year, Gypsum Systems will be installing the framing, insulation, drywall, and working on millwork, trims and specialty ceilings.
