Capitol Moving & Storage, established in 1947 and with United Van Lines since 1957 is a stable, expanding company poised to grow their employees with the business. Family owned and operated, Capitol is now located in South Windsor, CT in a new state-of-the-art facility on Route 5. Capitol Moving & Storage has been recognized as United's Agent of the Month several times for the high quality service provided to customers. United Van Lines is the largest mover in the country with more than $1 Billion in revenue and one in four interstate moves being handled by United.

In 1947, Edward J. Gagnon started Gagnon Movers in Hartford with one truck, a strong back, and a lot of determination. In 1957 Capitol joined United Van Lines, then a distant number three in the industry, as a shareholding agent. In 1999, Capitol moved from Hartford and constructed a new state-of-the-art facility in suburban South Windsor to accommodate the growth and prepare for the future. Today, over fifty years since our humble beginnings and now into the third generation of Gagnons, Capitol Moving & Storage is one of the leading interstate quality movers in Connecticut, specializing in household moves, corporate moves, electronic shipment, exhibits & displays service, and warehouse and storage.

Capitol's Quality Training Room is a state-of-the-art facility designed to accommodate thirty employees at a single time. Capitol Moving & Storage is devoted to quality care and committed to their employees by providing top training programs to help in the field. You can see the Capitol Difference in the pride of our performance that's present in our workplace and on the road. More importantly, what makes Capitol different from all the other movers is our track record. Take a look. Preparations for your move requires a lot of time and attention to details.
