At S.C. Wood Works quality, integrity and honesty are the foundation on which we build our client relationships as well as our projects. Over the past 24 years our clients have repeatedly asked us to build new projects for them. We continually implement better business practices during the consultation, design and execution phases of our projects.

S.C. Wood Works is, in a nutshell, Steve Cacciapaglia (Cah-cheeuh-pah-lee-uh). Steve designed and built his first home back in 1988 and fell in love with the process and product. Since then he has completed 6 more homes and countless remodels for his family and clients. Home remodeling is an art form for Steve. He has a knack for taking what is and envisioning endless possibilities of what can be. When he graduated from Umass Amherst with a bachelor's degree in Art History, he took a job with a fine-art gallery outside of Boston and followed his talents within the art industry.

We have converted many garages and basements into critical living spaces for our clients. This conversion featured an existing two car garage that we transformed into a family room. The client loved the new layout, opening the space up to an existing living area and taking advantage of sunlight at every possible angle. We were able to open it up to the kitchen and dining area as well. Needless to the say, the client was very happy with the end product. There are many reasons to expand the living space in your home.

This garage addition in Wrentham was a project we completed this past fall. The owners were great, as is typical of our clients, and I think they were pretty happy with the outcome. Sometimes these projects can be daunting especially when your home is taking on a drastic change. There's no doubt, however, that the character and utility of a new space like this mud room and garage enhance the beauty of this home. We're proud of the product and of our new relationship with these homeowner's. Can't wait until their next project comes around!

This home was designed and built by S.C. Wood Works back in 2004-2005. Steve likes to incorporate the surrounding environment into a design as much as possible. As you can see from the immense detail, the owners of this home were very interested in achieving an architectural feel. Steve's inclusion of natural cedar shingles was a great success. We find home design and building in Massachusetts to be very rewarding. As you can see from many of the homes we've designed and built we carry the same level of detail and character as we do in our home remodeling projects.
