Real Antique Wood is a family-owned and operated reclaimed wood mill located in New Jersey. We take down 100+ year-old barns, bring the antique wood back to our mill, and turn it into sustainable reclaimed hardwood flooring, salvaged barn siding, custom farmhouse furniture, and more! Interior designers, contractors, and DIYers will all feel at home in our showroom with thousands of board feet of reclaimed lumber to work with. Seconds from Route 78, the Real Antique Wood showroom is a true hidden gem of northern New Jersey.
We also love a good story. When we hear of old barns that are being demolished, we jump at the chance to save them. We rescue this wood and then we turn it into something remarkable. We like to think that we are preserving and continuing the story of every beam, barn door, and board. Reclaimed. Repurposed. Reloved. It's really our way of life. It all started out as a dream when owners Gary and Lisa Horvath saw the opportunity to salvage old wood and give it new life. With a long history in the wood flooring industry it was the natural next step to open a reclaimed wood mill.
We found the absolutely most gorgeous old factory floor boards at Real Antique Wood. they turned the look of our living room from bland to beautiful! And the folks at Real Antique Wood were very very helpful in helping me with figuring out wood selection, sq footage calculations and price-conscious delivery.
Absolutely love this place. Love the feel of the show room love the way it smells. Could sit there all day admiring the beautiful pieces that they have. Everyone there was so friendly, warm and inviting! Asked them about making shelves for me they were very accommodating.never been happier! Will be back for sure for future projects!
I had a small project that needed reclaimed wood for a customer door. I went to their store three different times and got three different prices for wood each time I went. The final price I got from them was nearly $9 linear foot for the wood which is way, way overpriced considering that Ipe is available for much less.
The folks at Homelands Farm asked us to create this hard maple tabletop from a tree that was cut right from their property. We used an espresso stain from Osmo to finish it off.
X marks the spot! . . This silver siding barn door – lightly wire brushed to a perfect finish – is headed to a residential home.
