The Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas are uniquely set apart from other electric companies because they are owned by its consumers and governed by seven guiding principles. Additionally, the cooperatives are a member of a national alliance of local, consumer-owned electric cooperatives, NRECA or the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
AECI's Utility Sales Department provides electrical equipment and other needed material for the construction of electric distribution and transmission systems. It offers a complete line of electrical equipment, including wood products, pole-line hardware, overhead and underground conductors, as well as pole-mount and pad-mount transformers.
