Zone 4 Construction, Inc. is a full-service general contractor with offices centrally located in South San Francisco, on the San Mateo Peninsula. We specialize in providing quality commercial construction and management services to our clients throughout the greater Bay Area and Northern California. Our projects include corporate office interiors, electrical, miscellaneous carpentry and demolition services. Zone 4 Construction, Inc. started out as an electrical contractor in 1983. The company's primary focus was electrical and data work throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area. In 2001, Zone 4 Power and Construction was formed, transitioning from primarily doing electrical work, to becoming a full-service general contractor. To fulfill the needs of our clients, a "Turn - Key Construction Company" was born. Today, we are known to our customers as Zone 4 Construction, Inc., a general contractor that provides quality construction and management services for office renovations, exterior renovations, retail, medical and dental office renovations and structural upgrades.

Our pre-construction service is a collaborative effort between the Client, the Architect(s) and the Contractor to establish and achieve the overall project design and vision. It is an opportunity, at this early stage in the process, to analyze all options in an attempt to provide accurate cost and time-saving alternatives. It is also a time to reach out to select subcontractors and build partnerships that benefit the customer by agreeing on pricing that remains fixed throughout the course of construction.

As a job evolves - from conceptual, to 50%, to a final set of construction drawings - our budget estimating service provides an opportunity to do a ‘real-time' check on earlier preconstruction planning. This allows us a ‘second chance' to modify the scope of the project, while still meeting the client's overall needs.

We are a full-service general contractor that specializes in providing the following list of services: preconstruction, budget estimates, program management, full general contracting services, facilities maintenance and electrical construction and service work.

Our program management service offers overall project development - from site location, to developing a conceptual scope, to hiring design professionals that collaborate and develop construction documents. At this point, our team works with the client to either hire a general contractor - or - utilize a multi-prime delivery method. Our project management team represents the customer's best interests during the entire construction process and throughout to the job's closeout.

Zone 4 Construction, Inc. started out as Tandem Electric in 1983. This sector of work was our foundation and our roots, and is still just as important to our principals as all of our other services. Today, we provide service work for existing and new clients. Our service department has grown into a full service electrical contractor, self-performing all aspects of electrical construction on our projects. In addition, we act as a subcontractor to other general contractors.
