We are a member-owned not-for-profit electric cooperative generating and transmitting power to our 13 member-owned rural electric cooperatives and associations. CIPCO is acooperative energy provider celebrating more than70years of service to our member systems.
Our sun provides an enormous supply of light energy that can be collected with photovoltaic panels and converted into electricity. Solar energy provides an abundant supply of clean electricity to benefit CIPCO Member-owners. Solar generation comes in many forms: residential, community and cooperative-scale. In 2016, CIPCO launched the state's first utility-scale solar project to take advantage of economies of scale and allow all our members within the system to benefit from solar energy. CIPCO strives to provide a diverse generation portfolio to our member cooperatives while delivering safe and reliable electric service at the lowest possible long term cost.
