I became involved in the flooring industry in 1988, installing carpet and was a CFI certified carpet installer working for local carpet retailers, interior designers, and building contractors. In 1997, I became the operations manager for one of the carpet and flooring retailers that I installed for and maintained that position until 2000, it was then I became involved with the cleaning side of the industry. One of my clients as a carpet installer was Sylvia Jordan, owner of Island Interiors, who in 1995 founded Jordan's Clean Machine, Inc., which developed a reputation for quality work and competitive pricing.
