Oxbo moves components for a wave energy device from the fabrication site to a pier where they were loaded on two barges. Due to the delicate nature of the items, Oxbo used its remote control self-propelled transport system to ensure smooth and level movement of the components without the use of a prime mover. Northwest Structural Moving offers a variety of specialized moving, lifting and rigging services to suit the individual needs of the many customers we serve. We are located just outside of Portland, Oregon and currently serve customers throughout the Western United States and Canada.
Our parent company Oxbo, Inc., formerly known as Settle Construction, Inc., originated in 1993 as a provider of specialized construction services which included the moving and lifting of over-weight and over-dimensional structures. The company expanded shortly thereafter creating Northwest Structural Moving, a division specifically designed to meet the needs of the moving and rigging clients we serve. This division offers a wide variety of services including heavy lifting and moving of all structures, over-size and over-weight transportation, rail car and barge loading, engineering and logistical support.
Here's a flashback to last summer when our crew relocated two structures built in 1912 to make room for a new residence hall.
The NWSM team moved this house through a field (and over a ditch) before placing it in its final location. Do you have a move or lift we can help out with? Feel free to reach out to our estimating department today at 503-543-6696.
Crews recently moved this house off of its 10' basement and into a new location on site. Another successful project completed by team NWSM! #structuremoving #teamNWSM
