With these wonderful Contemporary Gas Fireplaces you will see fire transformed to art. Elevating the role of a fireplace beyond the heating function to a highly stylized art form is a trend for today's homes. You will note clean lines crafted from unique materials in bold, vibrant colors, cool stainless or sleek black. These elegant frames wrap artfully around a fire that dances evocatively from gently curved burners cradling cobalt blue crystals or a long, seamless river of pebbles. Get Regency quality with a perfect combination of function and beauty in a high efficiency heater with a beautiful view.

Believe it or not, dryer vents are now considered to be more of a fire hazard than chimneys. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued an alert due to the fact that there are 15,500 fires, 10 deaths and 310 injuries from dryer exhaust fires annually. To further protect you and your family, we offer a Dryer Duct Cleaning Service completed by a CSIA-Certified Dryer Exhaust Technicians (C-DET). As more homes have dryers installed on upper levels of the home with long concealed vent runs with several elbows, as opposed to short efficient runs out the basement window, maintenance is no longer something that the homeowner can easily do for themselves.

There are times your chimney system will let you know something is wrong and other times it won't give you a clue that anything is amiss. When there are symptoms such as smoke, back filling into a room, the fire is hard to start or you see water dripping into the firebox, you know your appliance needs some attention. However, just like with human health, if you had someone looking after the health of the fireplace or wood stove on an annual basis, there is a good chance the problems would have been found before the symptom showed up.

Moisture is one of your fireplace's worst enemies here in Tennessee. Anyone that saysotherwise is just not telling you the truth. A leaking chimney is one that is deteriorating infront of your eyes and repairing it must not be put off. If you do delay, you may need extensive masonry work on your chimney and even on your fireplace. Though the flood of 2010 was unusual, we all know that Nashville, TN gets a lot of rainthroughout the year and those cold rainy winters are tough on your chimney. That's because most chimneys are constructed with brick, which is a porous material held togetherby mortar, which is a water soluble material.

Two of the biggest dangers to the health of your family and property are fires and CO poisoning. Your fireplace and dryer are two of the most common places where CO is emitted or has the right conditions to ignite a fire. This makes getting these two areas serviced on an annual basis very important. All Ashbusters Chimney and Dryer Services are conducted by certified technicians in the field. Chimney Sweeps are highly trained individuals who know how to come into your home, clean and inspect your fireplace and chimney and leave everything as clean as or better when they leave.

These particles can settle along your chimney liner and cause a chimney fire, which can easily spread to other areas of your home through cracks in the liner. By scheduling regular cleanings, you'll help ensure that dangerous levels of these flammable particles don't build up on your chimney's walls and lead to a dangerous chimney fire. A: The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standard 211 states that, Chimneys, fireplaces, and vents shall be inspected at least once a year for soundness, freedom from deposits, and correct clearances.

For many, even though Fireplace Cleaning & Chimney Sweeping are listed at the top of the CPSC Fire Safety Check List, they have no idea what the chimney technician is really doing. We have provided a video below from the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) about how Ashbusters will sweep and inspect your fireplace. We believe you should be an educated consumer when it comes to the care and maintenance of your fireplace and chimney appliance. In the last 23 years we have swept over 21,000 chimneys and have thousands of "all excellent" response cards from our customers thus proving we do it right!

Did You Know that storks nesting in chimneys were once believed to bring good luck, according to European folklore? The fact is nests in chimneys - or blockages of any kind in your fireplace - are nothing short of bad news. These obstructions can cause smoking problems, chimney fires and carbon monoxide poisoning. In 1998, there were 18,300 residential fires in the United States originating in chimneys, fireplaces and solid fuel appliances, according to the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.

I had a great experience with Tim today! He was very thorough, was great at explaining everything to me and what we should do (safety issues) and what are the items they recommend we do to keep up our chimney.

We love our Valor Retrofire gas insert! Thank you, Bob, Mark and office gals for a job well done! Also, thank you for using Keith Middleton and Andrew Callahan for putting in the gas line. I highly recommend them as well!
