Aladdin Pest Control was founded by Seymour Levy, Ted and Irwin's Dad, in 1958, and was incorporated in 1960. Seymour wanted the company name to begin with an A, making it one of the first listings in the yellow pages. Seymour then coined the first Aladdin slogan, "Insect and Rodent Problems Solved Like Magic". Seymour's initial marketing campaign consisted of his children delivering circulars door to door on bicycles to the Manhasset Hills section of New Hyde Park, LI. The campaign was a rousing success, and Seymour was hired by many of the residents.
