Dan and Ruth Steinacker moved to Fostoria, Ohio in 1992 after carefully researching the need and customer base for a local hardware store. At the time, they were interested in purchasing an existing hardware store, but ultimately decided to open their own store. The couple opened the doors of their new store on West Tiffin Street in the Fostoria Town Center in September 1992. Meeting with success, the store rapidly expanded in size along with the inventory. In 1996 they opened a Rental Department.
