Because we are open we are able to replace a broken furnace TODAY on an emergency basis. This furnace MUST be replaced because, home owner needs heat to be able to shelter in place.

As of 11/9 we have three manufacturers that have variances for altitude. This means that only three manufacturers can legally sell equipment above 4500. Regretfully the mitigation fees are back too. This means that on average the cost of installing a FAU is artificially inflated by $400. The SCAQMD Governing board will be voting on an amendment to Rule 1111 on Dec. 6th. Once the amendment is in place all manufacturers can legally sell non-compliant equipment above 4500 feet, and the mitigation.
The AQMD has offered a special case by case temporary exemption to rule 1111 for the mountain community. All HVAC contractors have access to the temporary exemption. We have worked very hard over the last month with the AQMD and our local government to get this ruling. Long story short, a temporary solution has been offered.
