In 2019, Energy Trust supported energy-efficient upgrades and renewable energy installations at more than 59,000 Oregon and Southwest Washington homes, businesses, factories and farms through a network of more than 1,900 trade ally contractors. In total, Energy Trust delivered $102 million in energy-efficient cash incentives for energy efficiency and renewable energy investments. This year's budget and action plan guide us in serving customers of PGE, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas and Avista.
We are committed to operating in a transparent manner that welcomes public participation. Our board of directors, Conservation Advisory Council, Renewable Energy Advisory Council and Diversity Advisory Council meetings are open to the public. The board of directors' bylaws ensure that our board meetings and other processes are clear and accessible to the public. Download the 2020 schedule of Energy Trust board, Conservation Advisory Council, Diversity Advisory Council and Renewable Energy Advisory Council meetings.
We contract with a variety of firms, individuals, institutions and organizations for program management, program delivery, engineering, evaluation, technical and other professional services. We encourage the participation of all types of businesses, included minority-owned, woman-owned and small businesses, in competing for contracts with our programs and operations. Energy Trust of Oregon is seeking qualified residential HVAC contractors to participate in our 2021 Ductless Heat Pump Promotion in Rentals.
Energy Trust is dedicated to helping 1.7 million utility customers in Oregon and Southwest Washington save energy and generate renewable power. We provide comprehensive energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, and our success is measured in kilowatt hours of electricity saved or produced with renewable energy, therms of natural gas saved and efficient and effective delivery of services to utility customers. We help customers and communities reduce costs and realize additional benefits by saving energy and using renewable resources.
Energy Trust helps customers benefit from low-cost energy and clean, renewable power. Along the way, the benefits multiply to include bill savings, job creation and business investment. Energy efficiency remains the least expensive energy resource Oregonians can buy. This affordable energy supply helps utilities avoid investment in new and more expensive energy resources. Setting a high bar for performance is a key driver for our programs and services. Over time, we have accelerated energy savings to meet increasingly aggressive goals and we continue to support new, renewable energy system installations while keeping internal costs low.
The information, technical services, cash incentives and contractor connections we provide help homeowners, renters, multifamily property owners, small and large businesses, manufacturers, farmers, schools and other customers save energy and generate renewable power. We are funded by and serve customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas and Avista. If you're not served by these utilities, contact your local utility as they may offer energy-efficiency and renewable energy resources.
Our programs are available to 1.7 million utility customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas and Avista. Together, they represent 74 percent of Oregon electricity customers and nearly all the natural gas customers in Oregon. We also serve customers of NW Natural in Washington. Oregon utilities rely on a variety of energy resources to serve their customers, like directly delivering natural gas through pipelines or generating electricity from natural gas, coal or large renewable energy systems.
The Renewable Energy Advisory Council meets multiple times throughout the year and all meetings are open to the public. To join the Zoom meeting, you will need to register in advance here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. We make several years of meeting materials available to the public. If there are documents you are looking for that are 2006 or older, please email or call 1.866.368.7878. Not sure what solutions are right for you?
