Total Tech was founded in 2006 by Don Miller. At the time he worked for Carrier Mid-South in Nashville as Customer Assurance Manager. His responsibilities included technical assistance, warranty arbitration, and technician training. While working with seasoned technicians, he quickly recognized that the HVAC industry was struggling to keep up with current technology and due to his passion for the trade, knew that he had to make a difference and change the way that technicians were trained. Total Tech began in the Miller home garage teaching and training technicians looking to enhance their skills in the trade.
Through SFL-TAP and our Transition to Trades program, Donald enrolled in our Plumbing Course. Prior to coming to Total Tech, he served as a mechanic for 6 years. Upon graduation, Donald plans to move to Alabama and begin his civilian career in plumbing.

Nick currently works as a plumber and an HVAC service tech. Through his employer, he enrolled in our 2 week, accelerated HVAC Service course to sharpen his skills on the job. Upon completing this course, he plans to return to work and put his new expertise to the test.
