Our COM Center is available 24 hours a day for emergency security service, general information and property response calls. Utilizing the E-911 dispatch call software our dispatch operators handle over 3000 calls per year with an average response rate of 8.2 minutes, the COM center handles a wide of service request calls for our clients, date & time stamping each call with recording of arrival & departure times as well as disposition of each call. All telephone and radio communications are recorded on the Mil-4000n advanced digital recorder, the internal clock is synchronizes to government time standards.
On Sept. 8th 2011 a major power outage occurred affecting Orange & San Diego Counties. Within hours several business, HOA’s and Apartment Communities contacted O.C. Metro Patrol for emergency services. O.C. Metro Patrol sprung into action and began protecting these businesses for general security and fire-watch duties. O.C. Metro Patrol is proud of all its personnel who responded to this event without hesitation and were successful in protecting the community during this emergency.
While patrolling an alley, an alert OCMP officer encountered two occupied vehicles loaded with stolen property from a nearby business, the quick thinking Patrol Officer requested back-up, recorded the license plates, notified the Police, one vehicle left the scene, the other was detained by the OCMP officer, Police stopped the vehicle, based on the OCMP officers information, the stolen property was recovered and the investigation is being continued. This was a job well done by this officer.
