We actually have a founding father. And it's his sound vision that drives our company today, 54 years later. Vito V. Cerami started the first acoustical consulting firm in 1965, because he saw that buildings had noise and vibration problems that were not being addressed as an element of good design. Widely regarded as a pioneer of acoustical engineering, he created an industry that didn't exist before and that is now compulsory in every building. During its first two decades under the leadership of Mr. Cerami, Cerami & Associates helped advance many design and construction practices now commonly used for noise and vibration control in modern commercial and residential buildings.
