We had a brand new system installed a year and a half ago. That's when the problems started. Installers put in a new air handler in the wall and sealed it up without putting in a drip pan. They had to tear the wall open again to put one in. Then the system wouldn't work with the thermostat. After many visits over several weeks by Cyprus "experts" who couldn't get it working, Pepco came out and found the faulty wiring done by Cyprus which kept shorting.

Then a year later the heating system starts making a horrible noise. The Cyprus rep comes out since it's under warranty and says it's normal vibration. Said the system is so efficient it makes a vibrating noise. Any idiot would know that's bs. I call Cyprus to complain after the rep leaves and a more senior guy comes out a few days later and checks the compressor on the roof which the first guy never did. Bingo.

The compressor is making the horrible noise which is traveling down and into the house and a new coil has to be ordered and replaced. Now 6 months later when in the AC mode the system is again making a weird noise. Of course I wait from 1:30 to 5:30 today for my appointment, after Cyprus confirmed it twice earlier in the day. Then they call at 5:25 and say they need to reschedule. Half work day for me wasted! I give them one star.

I 'm giving Anthony Smith five star because he was very professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. He took his time helping me to understand what was going on with my system and gave me several options to choose from pertaining to my issue and what the outcome could be with each option. One of the best experience with an technician.

I have never had such an awful experience with a company. First of all, they NEVER call you back when they say they will. We had to work with them for almost 2 years and not one encounter was satisfactory. They are also not competent technicians at all, we have had to continuously have them come back to fix something from the time before or have another company come in and repair something that they screwed up and then have to pay a new company because cyprus will not come back out or even call us back. Do not hire them.
