With decades of experience implementing projects ranging from small gardens to large-scale conservation areas, our team combines scientific knowledge with practical implementation expertise to create sustainable landscapes that support local biodiversity.
Native Seed Production
We produce high-quality native Michigan genotype seeds sourced from documented foundation stock collected within 75 miles of our farm. Our seed inventory undergoes rigorous testing for purity and viability, ensuring genetic diversity and adaptation to local conditions. We maintain strict quality control while offering both standard and custom seed mixes tailored to specific project requirements across the Great Lakes region.
Site Inventory & Analysis
Our site inventory services provide detailed ecological assessments to determine optimal planting strategies. We analyze soil composition, existing vegetation, and environmental factors to develop customized restoration plans. This scientific approach ensures successful native plant establishment while addressing specific site challenges like erosion control or habitat enhancement for pollinators and wildlife.
Erosion Control Solutions
We implement effective erosion control measures using native vegetation adapted to local conditions. Our solutions combine deep-rooted grasses and forbs that stabilize soil while creating valuable habitat. These natural systems provide long-term protection against erosion while maintaining aesthetic value and ecological function in both urban and rural settings.
Educational Workshops
Our on-farm workshops provide hands-on learning opportunities about native plant cultivation and ecological management practices. Participants gain practical knowledge about seed selection, planting techniques, and maintenance strategies for successful native landscapes. These educational programs support our mission to promote sustainable land stewardship through informed community engagement.
