COLTON has been providing construction services in Phoenix for over 45 years. John G. Colton, a native Oregonian and founder of Colton Building Systems, moved to Phoenix in 1967 and in 1970 founded Colton Building Systems with the concept of providing Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings as a Design/Build service to Owners, Architects, and General Contractors in Phoenix and across Arizona. In only three years, the company constructed several hundred buildings throughout the state. By 1982, Colton had built an additional 3 million square feet of buildings under his own name.
