Established in 1970, KTUA has expandedthe boundaries of the traditional landscape architecture practiceby incorporating land use andtransportation planning, community planning, federal planning, resource management and visualization practices into our portfolio. Two young landscape architects had a vision for design in San Diego - and Kawasaki Theilacker & Associates was founded in 1970. Frank Kawasaki and Michael Theilacker were awarded 25 projects in that first year, including residences, apartment complexes and shopping centers.
