Mark Houston and his artistry extends beyond the drafting table. He can 'design' a budget that perfectly suits both the project and the client's pocketbook. Art follows function. Good architecture is realized when function is enabled by forms and spaces that are beautifully arranged. Mark gives his first employer, Louis E. Rodwell, AIA, much of the credit for helping him hone these skills. Rodwell was a prominent Pasadena architect who specialized in classical and period style architecture. He also had a very good technical background due to his construction experience, Mark recalls.
Really excited to potentially be a part of this project on Norumbega. The original structure was built in the early '20's.
