Since its beginning, FPL was a major participant in the construction industry in the San Francisco Bay Area. In its history, FPL completed nearly $2.5 billion dollars of building work. In the early 1980's, Mr. Lathrop presented key employees the opportunity to form a 'new' construction company on their own.
